CLASS DESCRIPTION
This course explores the spiritual and intellectual legacy of medieval Andalusia, a period marked by rich interfaith and intercultural exchange between Muslims, Jews, and Christians. Through mystical texts, poetry, philosophy, and historical case studies, we will examine how traditions of convivencia (coexistence) shaped Andalusian thought and its influence on contemporary spiritual practice. Participants will engage with the teachings of figures such as Ibn Arabi, Maimonides, and Teresa of Ávila, exploring themes of love, unity, and divine knowledge.
